POPCORN PARTY CAKE

 50 g butter, cut into cubes, plus extra for greasing
 450 g miniature marshmallows
 20 toffees
 1 packet of microwave popcorn
 135 g peanuts
 35 g coarsely broken pretzels
 200 g small colourful sweets

Grease a 25cm round cake tin liberally with butter

Cook the popcorn in the microwave according to the instructions on the packet

In a large saucepan, over a gentle heat, melt the butter, marshmallows and toffees together, stirring occasionally

place the popcorn, peanuts, pretzels and sweets in a large bowl, pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn mixture and mix well

Press into the cake tin, smooth the top and set aside to cool at room temperature, until firm

Remove from the tin and cut with a serrated knife
