PEAR AND OATS PUDDINGS

 

Makes 4

Ingredients

200g oats

80g butter, melted

3 tbsp chopped almonds

2 tbsp clear honey

Pinch of ground cinnamon

2 small pears, peeled and cored and finely chopped

2 tbsp marmalade

25g flaked almonds

1 tbsp marmalade extra

Orange zest to decorate

Yogurt or custard to serve

 

Method

-          Preheat the oven to 200C/Gas6; butter four individual pudding bowls

-          Mix together the oats, butter, nuts, honey and cinnamon in a small bowl; using a spoon, spread two thirds of the oat mixture over the base and around the sides of the pudding bowls

-          Mix together the pears and marmalade and spoon into the oat cases; top with the remaining oat mixture to cover the pears; scatter the flaked almonds on top and place some marmalade in the middle

-          Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until cooked and tops of the puddings are golden and crisp

-          Decorate with orange zest and serve hot with custard or yogurt

Qoxra ta’laranga biex izzejjen

Yogurt jew custard biex isservi

 

-          Sahhan il-forn ghal 200C/Gas6, idlek bil-butir 4 forom tal-pudini zghar

-          Hallat flimkien il-hafur, il-butir, il-lewz, il-ghasel u l-kanella go skutella zghira; uza mgharfa biex tifrex zewg terzi mit-tahlita tal-hafur bil-qiegh u mal-gnub tal-forom tal-pudini

-          Hallat flimkien il-langas u l-marmalade u zid fuq il-forom tal-hafur; zid il-kumplament tat-tahlita tal-hafur biex tghatti l-langas u l-marmalade; roxx il-lewz imqatta’u poggi ftit marmalade fin-nofs

-          Sajjar gol-forn ghal 15-20 minuta, sakemm isiru u l-wicc jihmar u jitqarmex

-          Zejjen bil-qoxra tal-laringa u servihom shan bil-custard jew yogurt
